The project aims to provide advanced sustainable transportation infrastructure to facilitate the transition to electric mobility. By enhancing infrastructure and expanding charging accessibility, EVIQ seeks to enhance the experience of visitors and residents while reinforcing Riyadh’s position as a sustainable urban hub.
EVIQ company aims to boost the growth of Saudi Arabia’s EV ecosystem through collaboration with local partners for installation & maintenance, laying a strong foundation for increased EV adoption; further, it will create a more attractive and rewarding investment landscape, encouraging further sector development.

EVIQ has ambitious targets, planning to install 5,000 electric vehicle charging stations across 1,000 strategic locations in Saudi Arabia by 2030. In line with this vision, EVIQ launched its first fast-charging site in 2024 at ROSHN Front in Riyadh (previously known as Riyadh Front). The new facility features two high-power fast chargers, each delivering over 100 kW of power, enabling EV users in Riyadh to recharge their vehicles quickly and efficiently.
EVIQ’s selection of ROSHN Front for its inaugural public EV charging facility is strategic, given the location’s status as a premier destination in Riyadh, attracting over 800,000 visitors monthly. This high footfall makes it an ideal location to promote electric vehicle adoption. It addresses the shortage of high-power charging stations in Saudi Arabia, aiming to alleviate charging concerns and significantly boost EV ownership and usage within the Saudi community.

The EVIQ charging stations will be easily identifiable and accessible, ensuring a seamless experience for EV users. This initiative aligns with PIF’s strategy to expand Saudi Arabia’s automotive capabilities, promote competitiveness, diversify the economy, and create new jobs.

The project is initiated by the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Company (EVIQ), a joint venture company between the Public Investment Fund (PIF) & Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
