BIIP’s vision is to position Bahrain as a leading industrial and manufacturing hub fostering diversification and reducing reliance on oil revenues. By attracting global businesses to invest in non-oil sectors, BIIP contributes to Bahrain’s Vision 2030.
BIIP creates a cost-effective, export-driven environment, supporting businesses with state-of-the-art infrastructure and access to regional and global markets. Its strategic location near Bahrain International Airport and Khalifa Bin Salman Port enhances regional trade.
The park promotes industrial diversification and export growth by offering favorable tax policies and streamlined business licensing, while operating under a non-free-zone model to avoid typical export duties. Spanning 3 million square meters, BIIP offers serviced industrial land, pre-built industrial units, and office spaces, expanding high-tech industries, manufacturing, and logistics. Facilities include training centers and modern infrastructure.
BIIP also promotes sustainability with energy-efficient infrastructure and systems. Beneficiaries include international and regional businesses, as well as the workforce of skilled Bahraini and expatriate workers. Local communities benefit from job creation, skill development, and economic growth, while investors gain from tax incentives, infrastructure, and a business-friendly environment.
Key stakeholders include the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), which promotes the park, and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, which regulates it. The International Development Ireland (IDI) manages and markets the park.
BIIP has been operational since 2005, with ongoing development aligned with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. The park continues to expand, with future phases planned to accommodate increasing demand. BIIP’s success is driven by its ability to attract international investors, offering a zero-tax regime, 100% foreign ownership, and access to skilled labor.
