The Arab Urban Development Institute publishes its annual report for 2024

The Arab Urban Development Institute has published its annual report for 2024, that highlights the main achievements and activities implemented during the past year. The report aims to present the Institute’s priority actions that strengthen its role in supporting and developing the urban development agenda in Arab cities. In this report, the Institute confirms its commitment to its strategic objectives, which include contributing to urban studies and policy development, as well as providing specialized training for young leadership and building the capacities of cities to meet modern urban challenges. The Institute also focuses on building an effective network between Arab cities and global organizations with the intent to promote joint cooperation in urban development practices. The report is structured along our three key programs, which include:

Urban Policy Program: This includes the Urban Development Portal, the Urban Living Lab, Urban Development Practices Reports, the Urban Development Barometer in Arab Cities, the newsletter ” Mudununa”, and the “Cities in Action Webinar” series.

Training and capacity development: This includes specialized capacity development initiatives, the Executive Program in Innovation and Urban Management, and training programs in municipal development.
Partnerships and Cooperation program: This includes the signing of 10 local and international cooperation agreements, as well as expanding cooperation in the field of urban development.

The report also highlights a number of foundational initiatives that focus on attracting experts and advisors in urban policy, and establishing a database of best practices and expertise in urban development. It also reviews plans to expand the Institute’s communication and international relations activities in order to enhance its global presence, serving as a leading example across all domains of urban development.
