The Presenter

Prof. Samer Ghaleb Bagaeen

Professor Samer Ghaleb Bagaeen is an urban planner and academic specializing in
town planning and urban resilience. He serves as Technical Director for Town
Planning at Arcadis in London, Professor and Head of the School of Town Planning
at the University of the Built Environment and Visiting Professor in Urban Resilience
at Imperial College London. He previously served as Associate Director of the
Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities program (100RC), where he supported
cities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in strengthening urban resilience.
He is Vice President of the Royal Town Planning Institute for 2026 and will assume
its Presidency in 2027.
