The Arab Urban Development Institute meets with the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment of Syria to promote Arab municipal cooperation.
In a move to enhance cooperation and share best practices among Arab municipalities, the Arab Urban Development Institute (AUDI) organized a meeting with the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment of Syria. The meeting is honored by the presence of His Excellency the Deputy Minister and a number of the Ministry’s leaders.
Leading the discussion, Dr. Anas Al-Mughairi, the Director General of AUDI, presented the Institute’s Strategy 2025. He highlighted the various programs and initiatives adopted by the Institute to strengthen institutional capacities and enhance the capacity of municipal and development organizations. Dr. Al-Mughairi noted the importance of cooperation with local and international partners and the need for ongoing follow-up efforts to achieve common goals.
Main areas of cooperation:
During the meeting, it was agreed to enhance collaboration between the Institute and the Ministry in several vital domains, particularly:
- 1.Transfer of knowledge and exchange of experiences between municipalities to enhance institutional performance.
- 2.Promote joint research and development in environmental and development fields.
- 3.Implementing and supporting joint studies and providing advisory services in line with development priorities.
- 4.Exchange of experiences and information on joint environmental and management activities.
This meeting reflects AUDI’s commitment to developing strategic partnerships that contribute to increasing the efficiency of municipal action and enhance its efforts in achieving inclusive and sustainable development
