AUDI organizes Ramadan Evening to welcome European Ambassadors and Discuss agenda for Arab European Cities Dialogue 2025
On Sunday evening, March 17, the Arab Urban Development Institute (AUDI) hosted a Ramadan gathering for several European ambassadors and their representatives. The event focused on discussing the agenda of the Arab European Cities Dialogue 2025, scheduled for May 2025, with the goal of strengthening cooperation and integration in sustainable urban development between Arab and European cities. Attendees included ambassadors from Ireland (Mr. Gerry Cunningham), Italy (Mr. Carlo Baldocci), Poland (Mr. Robert Rostek), Romania (Mr. Sebastian Mitrachi), Serbia (Mr. Dragan Pecnik), Spain (Mr. Jorge Hyypiá), Austria (Dr. Oskar Wüstinger), and Kosovo (Mr. Lulzim Miko).
Over the course of the meeting, Arab European Cities Dialogue Forum was introduced, and participants emphasized the need for collaboration between Arab and European cities to build a shared urban future grounded in partnership and integration. Ambassadors and their representatives also voiced their eagerness to take an active role in the upcoming forum.
The meeting also sought to gather diverse perspectives and promote the exchange of ideas on key issues featured in the Arab European Cities Dialogue Forum’s agenda. For its part, AUDI highlighted the importance of these forums in bridging cities and providing platforms for dialogue, expertise-sharing, and the exchange of best practices.
