AUDI Holds Training Workshop Titled “Asset Management and Privatization of Services”

The Arab Urban Development Institute (AUDI), in collaboration with Jeddah Municipality, held a tailored workshop titled “Asset Management and Privatization of Services” from April 22 to 24, 2025. The event aimed to boost institutional capacity and improve the efficiency of resource and service management within municipal institutions, as part of AUDI’s ongoing commitment to advancing urban governance across the region.

Over the course of three days, the workshop delivered 18 hours of in-person training to 37 staff members from the municipality. The sessions combined theoretical insights with practical applications, equipping participants with essential skills in asset and service management.

The workshop featured the following objectives:

• Enabling municipalities in creating and implementing modern asset management strategies efficiently and sustainably.
• Encouraging investment partnerships as a sustainable approach to privatization.
• Equipping participants with the skills to assess and categorize municipal assets and analyze their investment feasibility.
• Improving knowledge of asset management practices and fostering partnerships with the private sector.
• Building capacity to design and implement transformation plans for municipal services, aligning with national priorities for local development
• The workshop is part of a broader series of training programs organized by AUDI to support institutional transformation and promote best practices in urban service management across Arab cities.
