Guest speaker: Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Abdel Hamid

Professor of Urban Planning at the Department of Urban Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Al-Azhar University, and Consultant in Urban Planning and Modeling.

About the speaker:

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Abdel Hamid is a Professor of Urban Planning and Urban Modeling at Al-Azhar University. He earned his PhD in Strategic Planning for Regional Development from Portland State University, USA, in collaboration with Al-Azhar University, and holds two master’s degrees: one in Regional Development from the ISS Institute in the Netherlands and another in City Planning from Al-Azhar University. Prof. Mohamed has served as Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, was seconded to King Saud University, and acted as a consultant for the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) and several Egyptian institutions. He has also contributed to urban management and GIS applications through the UN-Habitat program. He has published over 40 research papers and two books on urban planning and regional development.
