UCLG Working Group on Capacity and Institution Building (CIB) 

UCLG’s Capacity and Institution Building (CIB) Working Group is a forum for professionals from Local Government Associations (LGAs) and individual local governments. These members share a focus on capacity development and local government development cooperation. The CIB Working Group functions as a technical platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Their primary objective is to improve the effectiveness and quality of international policies and programs related to local and regional governments and their associations. CIB work contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 16 (strong institutions) and 17 (partnerships for the Goals), with a particular emphasis on advancing SDG 5 (gender equality).
