• Six modern taxi stations equipped with digital dispatch systems and shaded waiting areas .
• Three main bus terminals with dedicated lanes to streamline intercity travel .
• Commercial spaces adjacent to stations, such as cafes and retail shops, to boost local commerce .
The project is spearheaded by Yemen’s Ministry of Transport in collaboration with Sana’a local authorities and international donors . Implementation follows a phased approach:
First Phase [2022–2024]: The first stage includes 132 of the transportation parking for the rise and descent of passengers in the three streets, including 53 parking lots, 42 parking lots on Taiz Street, and 37 parking lots on Al -Zubairi Street. .
Second Phase [2024–Ongoing]: Expansion to remaining sites and installation of solar energy systems . As of 2024, the first phase is finished, with the third delayed due to funding shortages . Authorities emphasize the project’s long-term goal of creating a safer and more efficient transport system for Sana’a’s residents .
