The International Development Center for The Innovative Local Governance (VNGI CILG)

Is the regional hub for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) of the International Agency of the Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG International) which implements development projects and programs for advice, support and capacity development in the areas of public strategies and policies, good governance, regional and local development. CILG actively engages in several strategic partnerships with Associations of Municipalities active in international development cooperation, as well as donors and international cooperation agencies in order to enhance the role of local and regional governments as active player in development and social cohesion. CILG provides advisory services to national and local actors and civil society organizations to help facilitate inclusive and sustainable economic growth, reduce inequalities for young people, women and vulnerable groups, and ensuring the protection of natural resources, increasing the resilience of municipalities and protecting ecosystems.
