The Arab Urban Development Institute participates in the eleventh World Urban Forum organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Program in the Republic of Poland Under the slogan (Transforming Our Cities for a Better Urban Future)

The World Urban Forum is one of the largest gatherings in the world that discusses urban issues and the impact of rapid urbanization and its repercussions on social, economic and environmental policies in societies and cities. Ten events in the Republic of Poland in Katowice, in whose presence His Excellency the Secretary of the Arab Towns Organization, Eng. Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Sabeeh, the Director General of the AUDI, Eng. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri, and Eng. Nayef bin Mansour Al-Mutairi, discussed several important aspects of our cities to achieve a better urban future, including flexibility and greenness. As well as integrated governance in aspects of planning and sustainability, rapid recovery after the Corona pandemic and social integration, reducing urban inequality in societies, working to transform cities through innovative solutions and technologies, activating smart cities and affordable housing, as well as addressing climate adaptation and sustainable solutions for cities. able to withstand and enhance its climate action Scientific papers, dialogue meetings and various international experiences for all topics that concern cities to enrich knowledge and successful factors in facing challenges and overcoming them. Knowledge with representatives of national, regional and local governments, academics and urban planners from around the world. In conclusion, the United Nations Human Settlements Program announced at the closing ceremony of the 11th session of the World Urban Forum that Cairo will be the host city for the next session of the Forum for the year 2024.
