Visit the Arab Urban Development Institute (AUDI)

On Tuesday, December 13/ 2016, the Female university graduates of Geography Department / Faculty of Arts / King Saud University, paid a visit to (AUDI) under the supervision of Dr. / Aisha Al-Rashed, the Department Rapporteur of the university graduates committee. This was an official visit by the graduates committee of King Saud university as part of its activities that enable the students take advantage of the experiences and training programs of related institutions, ministries and agencies; aiming to enhance their studies through practical experiences.
The visit program included the following:
• A presentation on AUDI, its activities and programs presented by the Deputy Director General.
• An introductory presentation on the children and youth programs at AUDI, presented by the program director.
• A presentation on the projects and interventions on children & women and urban poverty, by a population expert who is the adviser of the child & youth program.
• Review on training courses for employees at Arab cities, municipalities and other agencies related to the municipal works, as well as comprehensive and open scientific conferences for research centers and other relevant authorities to offer their experiences and expertise on the themes of seminars, conferences and scientific symposia - provided by AUDI training expert.
Following those presentations, students and supervisors had the opportunity to raise questions on the four presentations. The dialogue was distinctive and highlighted the keenness of the students to take advantage of AUDI training programs. AUDI staff and experts responded to students inquiries.
Following the meeting, the graduates had the opportunity to visit AUDI library and review AUDI publications, specialized collections especially those related to cities and municipalities management, specialized scientific journals, and membership and associate membership program for students to benefit of the library services.
